Calc-12E RPN Financial App Reviews

This is the first 12C type calculator for the itouch that has actually made me put down my real 12C. One of the best features of this calculator is the register display where you can see what is in FV, I, PV, PMT, etc. That alone make it worth the $14.95 price. Consider the many other features that it has over and above the real 12C and you have one sweet program here. Best of the 12C emulators out there - hands down!

Been using this 4 months now. Works great--program actually improves upon 12c a bit. And I dont need to carry my 12c to client meetings anymore. (Still use old 12c on desk as its a bit more handy than logging in to iPhone, but thats no fault of Calc-12e.) This app seems better use of iPhones limited screen space than some others looked at. Id only recommend this to financial advisors whom are used to RPN financial calculators.

Apps come and go, so many are simply a fad. After over a year, Im still using the 12E daily. Stone Meadow Dev, I cant thank you enough! The negative reviews here are strange, Ive found this calc to be better than the HP version. MANY more features, read the rest of my review below. Im preparing for the CFP exam. Ive been testing the 12e, using it in all my test prep work. Its matched the 12C out to four decimal points on all problems! I love this ap, so great getting instant results and for time-value problems, its so smart, having all values visible. AMAZING AP!! THANK YOU!!!

I am in training for CFP and I needed a calculator that I could use with out having to buy a physical calculator, I found this app to be very, very helpful and this calculator does every thing that the 12C does but it does it much faster and I dont have to carry around another gaget. I would like to get a manual on how to operate this calculator but I have not found one yet. Great app.

Strange was working fine for a long time but past two days has been giving me inaccurate loan payment terms.

Visual cash flows, ability to see whats in the financial registers or the stack (!), buttons that support the retina display... This is a version of the venerable 12C for modern times. Great job!

I have never used a financial calculator before, but my current finance class practically requires it. I figured at this price it was worth it to try and it works great. The interface is easy to use and so far it has done everything I need it to.

The changes to the layout destroy the hp feel, which is why I have this app. Bring back the real layout!

This was one of the first Apps I bought for my iPhone. It was the HP-12C, original classic and although the iPad upgrade wasnt very exciting it worked. The latest update coverts it to a 12E? What is that? I tried switching it back to the Traditional layout, but it isnt a 12C. I wonder how many others bought something from this company and then got upgraded to something completely different.

Was user error in setting beginning or end of period for payment. Something to pay attention to for all new users to any financial calculators. Everything works well now and support response was great! ***********************

Latest update places calculator in lower left hand corner of iPad; not in the center like its pictured in the app ad. Please move it back to center of screen.

Works as good as my 12c. Support was very responsive to a question I had. A developer responded right away to my email. Keep up the good work and thanks.

Off clicking noise Calculator great dont need hp12c anymore Cant figure out how to turn sound off (can on iPad) No easy way to communicate with developer

I have used an HP12C for many years and cant live with out it. I really dont like the portrait layout at all. I know you can just rotate it but its slow, even on my iPhone5. Please add an option to turn this off in settings. I cant imagine anyone that uses a 12c all the time actually wanting portrait for any reason. Fix that and I give it 5 stars.

The best financial calc I have tried. Nice functionality, with the n, I, PV, PMT and FV shown all the time. The font shrinks to show more digits, if necessary. When you push a color function button, keys that you can press next are highlighted. These are features that are not possible with a physical calculator. I only wish that the iPad version, which I use on my iPad Mini, had a "full-screen" mode.
