I was using a lot more when I just had an Ipod touch, but now with the ipad I can see a poor designed application. When I am doing my calculations I do not bother with the background of the screen but how much of the screen I can use. PLEASE INCREASE THE SIZE OF THE CALCULATOR FOR THE IPAD VERSION. Make it to fit ipads screen!

Best version of 12c calcs on iPhone and it has an innovative twist on the traditional favourite

An excellent implentation of the HP 12C calculator with one minor exception - there is no ALG mode. For those not comfortable with RPN this simulation offers no alternative. I am not sure if any of the other simulations offer ALG. I was hoping that the two spare buttons would become brackets and a toggle between the two modes however the company turned them into lease buttons. They operate differently using the registers and memory and in my opinion were a poor choice due the odd functionality and their impact on the overall elegance of the calculator. However this is a small complaint and shouldnt enter into your decision to invest in this program. It is extremely well done and well worth the price.

I could not stand all these 12C calculators using a picture of the real one, so this one is a nice change from that. Price was a little too high, considering that it doesnt have ALG mode and a few other additions that came with the 12C Platinum. You could buy the 12C Classic for cheaper (though it is painfully slow, something that got addressed with the platinum). Either way, great job with this one. Havent had a chance to use it much yet, but it def has what I was looking for.

Just what I was looking for and very polished. Best version of all the financial calculators out there. And with a bullet-proof pedigree! Thanks very much.

This is the financial calculator that I have been waiting for. As I watched the HP 12C emulators enter the App Store, I kept wondering why none of them took advantage of the iPhones power and interface. The HP 12C is my favorite calculator, but I thought surely it could be improved on the iPhone. Finally, the 12E has done it. The 12E finally combines the 12Cs familiarity and reliability with the iPhones power and interface. Here are my favorite features: - email amortization tables and summaries of other calcs; - view the stack values at all times; - seperate screen for bond calculations; - larger keys that light up the chosen function; - instant calculations, no waiting

Im actually a 17bii kind of guy, but cant find a software one. That said, Im beginning to see why so many treasure their 12cs. Once you get past learning the 12c-isms this works great. Checked the calcs against a real hp17bii and on Excel. This program also has register displays to show entered data (also has stack view). Bigtime feature! I dont need to email amortization tables, but for those who do, its pretty cool, I guess. The 12c (and RPN) is all about keystroke efficiency, and this seems to work just like a real 12c. Gets my vote.

All I can say, and if you use a 12-C youll know what I mean, is that I feel like I got a friend back on my iPhone.

I love the concept and features of this app, but I dont have confidence in the results. LIke "Edroid" I get inaccurate results wehn solving for Interest amounts and rates. Even the example for simple interest that is shown in the FAQs page of the authors Web site returned a different result. It would be nice to see a post from the author that an update is in process and that all algorithms are being proofed. Has anyone tried these calcs with Calculator12 from the same author?

I had previously left a negative review. They fixed the problem, now works great. Beautiful interface, fast, and just like the 12c I have used for years.

Was ready to spend $70 bucks for a replacement 12C till I saw this app. It works fantastic, & now have the calc with me at all times. I know, I am a dork to get excited over a calc app, but it is very cool!!

I work in finance and this is a great app. I no longer take my 12C with me--I just wip out my iphone everytime I need some math on the fly. Have never had a problem with it. The design is perfect.

The HP 12c is a standard - these folks kept the standard and improved it dramatically. HP simply recreated their calculator on an iPhone - didnt give any thought to improving it. In my mind, my "flagship" differentiator is the cash flow viewer/editor... if youve never tried it its slick IMHO. It allows you to see your cash flow entries as a cash flow diagram, and edit them (including adding and deleting individual cash flows) using the visual format--with the HP you can only delete the last cash flow and to do so you have to change the value of the n-register and you cant add a cash flow in the middle of your series. If you messed up entering the cash flows, you have to start over from CFo. Emailing results, in particular amortization tables and calculations dealing with cash flows and one-tap access to the forums FAQ page is very helpful - these guys did it right!!

I purchased this when if first came out and have found it to be one of the most useful apps available. I use it all the time and it has since completely replaced my HP 12c. The large buttons work great and the functionality is superb. I havent spent a huge amount of time on the extra features but have found them useful when I needed them. If youre thinking about a 12c for your iPhone, this is the one to get, hands down.

One of my most used apps on the phone with one of the ugliest icons in the app store. It would make my day when this finally got fixed.
